VMware Horizon Client Setup on Windows

    Note: When using the VMware Horizon Client outside of the university, a VPN connection is required.

    1. In your browser, enter the following URL: https://vdi.ad.th-ab.de

    2. Click on "VMware Horizon Client installieren" >> "Go to Downloads" >> "Download Now"

    3. Save the .exe file on your computer and then open it.

    4. The following window will appear: Click "Accept & Install" >> Wait for the installation to complete and then click "Finish" Click "Later Restart" when prompted to restart your computer.

    5. Open the VMware Horizon Client from the Start menu or desktop.

    6. In the VMware Horizon Client window, click on "New Server"

    7. Enter "https://vdi.ad.th-ab.de" as the name of the connection server, and then click "Connect".

    8. Enter your university login information with ad\<username> and click "Sign in".

    9. Finally, double-click on the desired pool and you will be connected.
